Jennifer Hilborn

Jennifer Hilborn

Jennifer is the consummate diplomat, hostess and event manager; often seeming most ‘in-the-zone’ when she is in high energy – even high stress situations.  From a book-signing tour with Margaret Atwood, sprung on her at the last minute, as a Key Porter Books publicist, to managing a bevy of disgruntled Ericsson VIP guests trapped at Tremblant in the 1999 ice storm, Jennifer solves problems on her feet and quickly puts her clients at ease.

Early on Jennifer emerged as a go-to person for business writing and communications.  Her press releases landed many a Canadian author on the coveted CBC Radio program, Morningside with Peter Gzowski.  She also authored and launched Ericsson Canada’s online newsletter, and created her own column bCause, for a local Toronto newspaper, ETC News, focusing on socially responsible corporations in her community.

From solid communications credentials, Jennifer went on to hone her skills in forging innovative partnerships.  From Corporate Social Responsibility and sports sponsorship, to charity events, Jennifer loves the values-based discussions that lay the foundations for effective and credible collaborations.  At Ericsson she had the honour of addressing the United Nations Economic and Social Summit regarding a partnership that she helped broker between Ericsson, The United Nations and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society.

Jennifer’s volunteer work has included leading a weekly youth group and sitting on a selection committee for Flare Magazine’s Annual Volunteer Awards.  She lives in Toronto with her husband Steve and two children, Noah and Ruby.
